MONTICELLO — Clyde E. "Speck" Wright of Rt. 5, Monticello and a native of Montgomery County, died at 12:45 a.m. Monday in White County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wright had been ill several months. He had resided in the Monticello area the past nine years. Prior to that he owned and operated an auto repair business in Crawfordsville for many years. Mr. Wright was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star Order, both in Monticello, and the Scottish Rite and Shrine in Indianapolis. He was born near Linnsburg March 16, 1907, a son of Hinton L. Wright and Georgeann Riggs. He was married on Jan. 14, 1930 to Marea Strong. Survivors include the widow and one sister, Alta Irene Wright of Monticello. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Monticello with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
